A few weeks ago,Oxfam asked us to customize a t-shirt for their new Fair Deal campaign(which you can view here). Even though Oxfam has managed to get support from some journalists and fashion editors, they are especially interested in getting support from Festival goers. Oxfam is the only high street retail brand in the country right now to have a festival shop at all the major festivals this summer. The idea is for festival goers to show their support by visiting the Oxfam shop to customize their own Fair Deal t-shirt to show off to the crowd. For those who feel less inclined to get their fingers messy, then perhaps you might prefer the Fair Deal washable henna tattoo.
A challenging or fun task, you might ask? But let’s not forget the main idea behind this campaign. It is basically a new way to create awareness and demand for those living in poverty to be treated fairly in the face of climate change. If you missed Glastonbury or T in the park festivals, never mind as you can still catch the Oxfam festival shop at the Big Chill, Reading, Leeds and more this summer.Check out Oxfam Fair Deal online to learn more on how you can take part. I look forward to seeing pictures of you in your own customized Oxfam Chari-Tee.
