Part two of our trend count for 2009 continues,So here we go:
The Over-the-knee Boots a.k.a Thigh High Boots: – This seems to be one that caught our attention the most. From Kate Hudson, JLO and Heidi Klum, no one wanted to be seen without them this winter. Will this trend be able to last the distance or would it be so 2009?
Structured Shoulders:- We saw a full return of the 80′s but with even bigger shoulders. Blazers were one of the basics used to show off this trend the most, followed by dresses. And judging by what we saw on the catwalks for next season, its a pretty safe bet to say this trend will definitely be around for at least two more seasons.
Cross body bags:- We saw a lot of bags slung across the body this year. It sort of added a certain ‘cool’ effect even to the most simple outfit. This is another trend that i predict will cross over to next year as it was a major part of Louis Vuitton’s SS10 collection.
Cropped Harem Pants:- The Harem Pants made a return this year but this time it was cut at the knee and not so drop-crotch like last season. Do you think this trend will return again, aren’t we bored already?Next!
Fringed Sandals: – Summer got a boho-chic revamp with taupe suede sandals featuring layers of fringe. Now this we can never tire of, bring on summer twenty ten!
Fur: – We saw it used on almost everything this year. Vests, cropped jackets and even on bags. Of course, its very comfy especially in this freezing winter but as i do not support real fur, please remember faux fur is even more fabulous because it is affordable
There we go for 2009. If you think i have left out any key trends, then please share them with us. Looking forward to a stylish 2010 with you. Happy New Year!
