The freezing festive season is upon us, and so is the need for warmth and comfort. However, warmth should not be used as an excuse to earn a bag lady award. Think sensible yet glamorous especially when it comes to your shoes. We know how tempting those Uggs look but this season, you must refrain and do the fashionably right thing. Here are a few tips to help you choose the right shoes, even though they are not Jimmy Choos, they can still look good.
Take a cue from Taylor Momsen(above) who shows us how to look stylish yet warm in this Loeffler Randall knit coat and royal blue ankle boots. This Fornarina low heeled version of ankle boots in same colour will give off a similar look but with even more comfort because it is low heeled. Get it from ASOS for £109.
Kate Hudson shows off the key shoe trend of the season – the thigh high boots. She also lets us know that thigh boots don’t have to be black to be stylish. So if you want to add a bit of neutral colour to your causal look, why not get the same as Kate from Stuart Weitzman or you can go for an even hotter version of this Brian Atwood suede thigh boots from net-a-porter for a hefty price tag of £1,215. Don’t scratch your scalp just yet because your feet will thank you for it later.
And then JLO shows us how to rock the boyfriend look in this soft cuff khaki boots from the Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen’s Elizabeth and James shoe collection. You can get this from Shopbop for $234.50 or you can also get a similar version with low heels from ASOS for £85.
