‘You cant always have what you want’, is my mother’s favourite phrase, which sooner or later quickly became mine ….. well not until now. I have been doing a trend research to discover how to nail this season’s trends without breaking the bank and i shall slowly reveal them to you posts by posts as the weeks unfold. I shall begin with my very first discoveries.

During Givenchy’s Fall 2009 presentation, i spotted this studded killer heel on the catwalk and was wondering how i could afford it. Thanks to Aldo, now i can as they have just created their own studded spin off. The similarity of both pairs are almost un-spottable with similar zip design and stud details. The only (barely) notable difference is the lack of studs on the heel of the Aldo version. For the minted, the Givenchy studded heel is available to purchase for £1188.00 from Luisa via Roma while for the skinted (like me) ,you might want to get familiar with the Guerrette studded peep-toes as its on sale now for a miserly £64.98.

Next – Do you remember Madonna in this get up when people thought she had gone crazy? Well the dress might have looked crazy on her but not crazy enough to avoid being copied by ASOS . They have just brought out their own copy in this  ASOS Taffeta Puff dress . The Louis Vuitton dress on Madonna costs a whooping £1,840 whilst the skinted version at ASOS is just £40. I know which version i’m going for, the question now is, do you? Stay tuned….
