That was the fashion question of the summer. Well for those of you who missed out on finding one either because it sold out of shops or because of the hefty price tag, we have good news, keep reading. For those who are yet to know, Rita is the leather biker jacket by Acne. Spotted back in September on Alexa Chung who seems to have a passion for Rita. She wore it to the Charles Anastase show during London Fashion Week. Then Blake Lively of the show -Gossip girls, also recently wore it on the GG set.
The ‘IT’ factor about Rita is basically because it is a cool leather jacket. Over the years, the leather jacket has managed to maintain its signature cool look, something that is quite hard to achieve by one piece of clothing. The Rita jacket is riding on this wave and adding a bit more so that you could instantly up your own cool factor. For those brave enough to withstand this chilling weather, team yours with a simple vest and skinnies for the ultimate urban look. Or if you would rather opt for warmth, whether you go for layers of tees or a sweater dress, the Rita works too.
We would love to have our own Rita, i mean who wouldn’t want to achieve the effortless cool look but with a head-scratching price tag of £710 from net-a-porter, we thought twice. We decided to hunt down a similar version for less than half of the original and we were lucky to find a bargain. Yes, you guessed it, every girl’s best online destination -ASOS – has this fabulous version which costs just £120 and is inspired by Alice Dellal. As long as Rita wouldn’t mind, we are getting ours now before they sell out in the countdown to Christmas.
