Has Shakira got a point to prove? For the second time in as many months the singer has been spotted in another identical dress to a fellow pop star. Last time she suffered the indignity of attending the VMAs in the same black leather number as Pink, and now Shakira has gone head to head with fellow Latina singer Jennifer Lopez, as both have been snapped in the same gold Herve Leger frock this month.
It’s a tough one to pick on who rocks this look the most. A perfect example of why Herve Leger is so popular with the red carpet set – this is a figure-hugging strapless black minidress covered in horizontal bands of dark gold square pailettes plus a matching sleeve, giving a metallic ‘second skin’ look that totally channels Star Wars C-3PO robot-style. J-Lo and Shakira both kept it simple with minimal gold accessories and flowing tresses. So has Shakira proved that she always triumphs when pitted against the fashion competition? Or is it really time for her to sack her stylist?
